NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is home to the nation's largest organization of combined scientists, engineers and technologists that build spacecraft, instruments and new technology to study the Earth, the sun, our solar system, and the universe. Goddard is located northeast of Washington, D.C. in Greenbelt, Maryland USA. The largest organization at Goddard is the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD). ETD is home to approximately 1,300 engineers who provide multidiscipline engineering expertise to our many missions. We recruit and hire the best and the brightest from top colleges and are proud of our talented and diverse workforce.
The expertise we bring includes advanced technology; highly qualified, technically diverse teams; hands-on operational knowledge of how to successfully implement space science missions; and a basic systems engineering approach. We offer talented and diverse staff, supported by unique world-class facilities, and the ability to apply emerging technologies to develop high performance, cost effective solutions to the most challenging problems in Science and Exploration.
Goddard Engineering is committed to cultivating and maintaining a work environment of trust, respect, and opportunity for all members of our workforce. We promise a diverse workplace which will enable people to achieve their individual success and maximize their personal contributions while fulfilling our objective of product excellence.
