Facilitating Optical Communication Development with Flexible Testing and Weather Monitoring

The Low-Cost Optical Terminal (LCOT) Facility at Goddard Space Flight Center is a flexibly-configured, multi-mission prototype ground terminal that allows testing of new optical communication technologies and includes on-site weather and turbulence monitoring.
