Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC)
Advancing Space Weather and Space Science Modeling and Forecasting
The Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) was established to enhance basic solar-terrestrial research and to aid in the development of models for specifying and forecasting conditions in the space environment. CCMC serves the space weather and space science community to enable, support, and perform research and development for next-generation space science and space weather models. The Center provides free access to state-of-the-art space science research models, testing and evaluating over 80 models. Additionally, CCMC supports space weather forecasters by transitioning research models into operational use.
The Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) is a collaboration between the GSFC Heliophysics Science Division and ETD’s Instrument Systems and Technology Division (Code 550)
