Cryogenic Research Integration and Test Facility (CRIF)
Optimizing Cryogenic Testing for Space Mission Reliability and Precision
The Cryogenic Research Integration and Test Facility is a 4,200 square foot test facility located in Goddard’s Integration and Test (I&T) facility. Originally designed for handling of moderate volume (i.e., upwards of 600 liters) liquid phase stored cryogens, it is outfitted with a high ceiling and a mechanical lift that translates the length of the floor. It contains a fumehood, chilled water outlets on multiple walls within the space, a quiet ground, and a shock pad on the east side to help facilitate mK scale cryogenic temperature operations.
The Cryogenic Research Integration and Test Facility (CRIF) is managed by ETD’s
Instrument Systems and Technology Division (Code 550)
