Variable Gravity Natural Convection Test Facility
Providing Critical Data for Space Missions through Earth-Based Gravity Simulation
The Variable Gravity Natural Convection Test facility was originally designed to support the Dragonfly Mass spectrometer (DraMS) in their effort to experimentally characterize natural convection coefficient values on Titan. The facility enables the replication of natural convective currents tailored for a specific gravitational body while still on Earth.
The Variable Gravity Natural Convection Test Facility is managed by ETD’s
