Alan Cudmore is currently a Senior Flight Software Engineer for Microtel LLC. Alan retired as a Computer Engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight after over 30 years of experience developing and porting flight software for over a dozen NASA Goddard missions ranging from flagship orbiters to cubesats. Alan is a subject matter expert on real time operating systems and embedded software development. Alan is one of the original architects and developers of the NASA/GSFC Core Flight System (cFS) flight software framework and Operating System Abstraction Layer (OSAL). Alan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a M.S. in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
