Joseph Hickey currently serves as Flight Software System Developer Chief at Vantage Systems, Inc. Joe has supported NASA projects in various capacities since 2013, primarily focused around embedded control software and data communication, at NASA Goddard and NASA Glenn Research Center. Prior to NASA, Joe worked in the telecommunications industry developing the software, devices, and protocols that power modern voice and data networks. Joe also has supported international standards development through organizations such as Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) and the Object Management Group (OMG) and worked to implement many interoperability and portability standards within the Core Flight System. Joe holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.
