Delivering Real-Time, Closed-Loop Spacecraft Testing for Guidance, Navigation, and Control”

Goddard Dynamic Simulator provides real-time high fidelity environmental and space component simulators for spacecraft.  GDS receives data from the spacecraft under test using various electrical hardware interfaces, computes the effect of that data on the simulated environment, and returns those results to the spacecraft to create a closed-loop simulation of the on-orbit environment.  GDS’s primary focus is on guidance, navigation and control but it has also been used in other areas, such as thermal control.

Goddard Dynamic Simulator (GDS) is managed by ETD’s Software Engineering Division (SED). Contact SED for more information.
